Daywise Tour Itinerary
Day 1 NJP / BAGDOGRA – OKHREY (122 kms)
You will be picked up from Bagdogra airport or NJP station and driven to Okhrey through the breathtaking beauty of South-western Sikkim.On arrival, check in to hotel/homestay. Overnight at Okhrey.
Day 2 OKHREY – BARSEY – SRIBADAM
Inthe morning after breakfast start for an excursion to Barsey Rhododendron sanctuary. It is a one-hour drive and from Hilley, a two-hour trek to Barsey. It is a small hamlet on the route to Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary. After taking a short-day hike and taking lunch in between move further to Sribadam (it is a small picturesque Himalayan village located in West Sikkim surrounded by nature and greenery and this village is paradise for bird watching as well as butterflies. Check-in to hotel/homestay and overnight stay.
Day 3 SHREEBADAM – KALUK – RINCHENPONG –SINGSHORE BRIDGE – PELLING
Post breakfast and done with the checkout formalities drive towards Kaluk (it is the buffer zone area and gifted with biological diversity and is a paradise for nature lovers. The area enjoys spectacular view of snow-capped mountains. Visit British Bungalow, a colonial bungalow at the cliff of a mountain with a breathtaking view of the mountains, Rinchenpong monastery, which houses a rare idol of Buddha, Singshore bridge (it is suspension bridge, the highest bridge in Sikkim and the second highest bridge in the Asian continent with over 100 meters in height is a little further down below from Uttarey). Lunch in between and drive to Pelling. Upon reaching the destination check-in to hotel / homestay. Overnight at Pelling.
Day 4 PEELING SIGHTSEEING – YUKSOM – TASHIDING
Morning post breakfast and complete with yourcheckout formalitiestake a trip to beautiful Sacred Lake Khecheopalri (according to folklore legend related to Sikkim topography, the Khecheopalri is said to represent one of the four plexuses of the human body namely, the thorax; the other three plexus are said to be represented by Yuksom (the third eye), Tashiding (head) and Pemayangtse (the heart)).
Visit Rabdentse Ruins - a popular tourist attraction at Pelling (Your Pelling sightseeing is incomplete without a visit to these ruins with history dating back to way before 1800s.) visit Sangachoeling Monastery which was built in 17th century. The most popular among many places to visit in Pelling and Pemayangtse monastery. Go for a walk on Chenrezig Skywalk (Glass Bridge). Visit Chenrezig statue(it is a manifestation of all the Buddha's compassion and His name means "One Who Looks with an Unwavering Eye”).
After break in between and having lunch proceed towards Yuksom and visit the Norbugang chorten as it was constructed after the crowning of the first Chogyal of Sikkim in 1642 at Norbugang Coronation Throne near Yuksom. A holy lake known as Kathok Lake is also associated with this place. The Chorten was the place where Lama Lhutsun Chempo created the time capsule by burying all the gifts to mark the occasion. Many Buddhist pilgrims visit Norbugang Chorten and the Norbugang throne as part of their pilgrimage tour. After visiting proceed towards Tashiding check in at hotel/homestay and overnight stay.
Day 5 TASHIDING – RAVANGLA – NAMCHI – GANGTOK
Early morning after a breakfast take a short hike to Tashiding monastery which is a main attraction of this village. Established on the top of the hills and near the rathong and rangeet river Tashiding is the century old monastery. According to the legends they belief that even a slightest glimpse of the monastery can purify all of a person sins and problems. After that proceed towards Gangtok. On your way the places you will come acrossare Ravangla Buddha Park and enjoy the view of Mt. Kanchenjunga the world third highest mountain and a guardian deity of Sikkimese people. On the way our representative will take a diversion leading to Namchi, meaning ‘top of the sky’ where you can catch great views of the mountains and the valley. Visit the sacred Namchi ‘Char Dham’ which is home to 108 feet tall statue of Lord Shiva and replicas of 12 Jyotirlingas. Head to Samdruptse Hill where stands the 118 feet, world’s largest statue of the Buddhist Padmasambhava, the patron saint of Sikkim. This hill is called the wish-fulfilling and Sai mandir at Namchi. Lunch in between and on your journey further you will drive past around the aromatic tea gardens, beautiful surroundings, and majestic mountains.
Continue your journey to Gangtok check in to hotel and overnight stay.
Day 6 GANGTOK – LACHEN
Post breakfast & check out from the hotel. Get ready for an exhilarating trip to Lachen (9000 fts/127 kms/5-6 hrs.), a tiny hamlet and a quaint village located amidst the magnificent Himalayas in North Sikkim and is the gateway to some of the most popular tourist hotspots in Sikkim.
During journey after 3 hours’ drive from Gangtok to Lachen you will enjoy a short break at Mangan for lunch. Enroute visit the picturesque Singhik View Point.
The next attraction that you will visit on your way to Lachen will be the Seven Sister Water Falls. Also, visit the Chungthang confluence where the Teesta River meets with the gushing Lachung River and the Lachen River, casting a spell over you.
Upon reaching this remote town, check-in at the hotel / homestay and de-stress for a while. Evening exploring this mesmerizing town thoroughly. Enjoy your comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7 LACHEN – THANGU VALLEY – GURUDONGMAR LAKE – LACHUNG
Early morning at 7 am. Drive to Gurudongmar Lake (65 kms/3 hrs.) Stop by Thangu Police Outpost (Permit formalities) and have a breakfast. Drive further to Gurudongmar Lake (which is considered as sacred by Buddhists. The best about this lake is it is one of the most beautiful and largest pristine sacred lakes in Sikkim, Gurudongmar lake sits in close proximity to the Tibetan and Chinese border in the north. Nested amidst the mountains at 5,183 meters, the freezing alpine lake is amongst the major sources of the river Teesta. The lake takes its name after the eminent guru Padmasambhava, who is believed to have traversed this region during his visit to Tibet.
Drive back to Thangu a nomadic village and hike around the valley (2 hrs.) which is famous for the traditional wooden houses built on the alpine meadows and Teesta River flowing through the lush valley visit the unexplored Chopta Valley a heaven for the adventure emerald green alpine forests and meandering rivers on the other side. Back to Lachen.
Lunch at Hotel/Homestay. After Lunch transfer to Lachung and check-in into hotel.
Evening free to walk around the town. Overnight stay at Hotel/Homestay.
NOTE: If you wish to visit Kalapatthar which is an offbeat and two road bifurcates from Thangu Village, last village en-route to Gurudongmar. One road goes to Gurudongmar and other goes to Kalapatthar. You need pay Rs: 3000/- extra directly to driver.
Day 8 LACHUNG – YUMTHANG VALLEY – YUMESAMDONG – GANGTOK
Morning after Breakfast at Hotel / Homestay. Drive to Yumthang Valley (Valley of flowers in summer and valley of snow in winter) Short Hike (40 minutes) to Hot spring through Pine Trees and Rhododendron bushes of Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary. The colorful picture of the beautiful rhododendrons covering large stretches of the valley is an extremely beautiful sight to behold. After that drive further to visit Yumesamdong which is situated at an elevation of 15,300 ft. and often know as zero point because there is no motorable road after this place and visitors are not permitted to go beyond this point due to its proximity to the Chinese border.
Drive back to Lachung for Lunch. After Lunch Proceed back towards capital city of Sikkim Gangtok late afternoon. Check-in to the hotel and overnight stay.
NOTE: To visit Yumesamdong which is a last NH10 highway of North Sikkim you need to pay Rs: 3500/- extra directly to driver.
Day 9 GANGTOK – TSOMGU LAKE – BABA MANDIR – NATHANG VALLEY
Early morning, post breakfast. Get ready for an invigorating full day excursion tour of Gangtok. Firstly, drive to visit the pristine Tsomgo Lake (40 kms) - Oval shaped Sacred Lake enroute Nathula Pass (Indo - Chinese Border) and soak in the sheer beauty of this water body surrounded by the snow-capped mountains.
Drive to Nathula Pass (15 kms further) and explore around the pass enroute visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir and seek blessings as it is believed that the spirit of the late soldier wanders here every night, guarding the borders.
Towards the end of the day drive to Nathang Valley check-in to homestay and overnight stay.
Highlights: Yak Ride at Tsomgo lake and Ropeway.
P.S.: Nathula pass can be done by clubbing vehicles with other tourists from Tsomgu lake. if Tsomgo lake is not open for sightseeing due to heavy snowfall, we will arrange an alternative place for you.
Day 10 NATHANG VALLEY SIGHTSEEING – GANGTOK
Morning post breakfast start your day with Nathang Valley Sightseeing (it is at an altitude of 13500 ft which is known for being the Ladhak of East Sikkim and it is poised at a high-altitude plateau which is surrounded by snowcapped mountains and is an isolated vale with a roundabout brook crisscrossing it). VisitZuluk (it is located on the famous Old-Silk-Route and is a relatively new offbeat destination of Sikkim and has a primitive charm), Zig Zag Road and on the way visit Eagle's Nest Bunker, Old Baba Mandir, Kupup Lake and Yak Golf Course. Lunch in between and drive towards Gangtok. After reaching check-in to hotel and rest for a while. Evening you are free to take your remaining leisure time and take a strolling around the night life of M.G road and street markets or try out some delectable Tibetan delicacies like Thukpa and momos. After an entertaining day, come back to your hotel and stay for the night.
Day 11 GANGTOK – DARJEELING (HALF DAY SIGHTSEEING)
After breakfast and done with the checkout formalities start your trip for Darjeeling. On your way to hotel, you will have a time to do half day sightseeing of Darjeeling which covers the areas like Tiger hils, Ghoom Monastery, Japanese Temple, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & Happy Valley Tea Estate and Factory. You will reach your hotel by 6.30 Pm check-in and overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 12 DEPARTURE
After breakfast complete your check out formalities as this is the last day of Sikkim and Darjeeling tour package. You will be transferred to the Bagdogra Airport or NJP to reach your onward destination.

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.
In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
